part 1: the calling
mystic creature of night sky,
your soul cried calling to side
the love of lifetimes. in dawning
breaking free from hibernation,
i woke to your song. out of blue skies,
you fell at my feet, outstretched, your
tune perfectly transcribed
in my mind. you wrote melodies
in my name, passing butterflies and
fireflies for a darker shimmer of wing.
in breathless speech i was called,
whispered to distant lullaby chords,
syllabic rituals feigning sheep to
align the meeting of our tongues.
upon horizons, the world awaited
our hyphenated concentric dances |
